April Heckmann is a violinist of over 20 years with 10+ years of teaching experience. She teaches violin and piano lessons. April holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Pensacola Christian College. From 2017-2020, April was an active member of the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra in Fairbanks, AK. She was concertmaster of the Moore Philharmonic Orchestra and II Violin Principle for the PCC Orchestra. In 2017, April volunteered as a strings instructor for the Youth in Unison Program at Open Door Community Center.  Under the instruction of Dr. Gail Johansen, April received her training as an instructor for the Violin Suzuki Method Books 1-6.

April is passionate about music and people. She desires to create an atmosphere where learning is fun and engaging.  April looks forward to sharing musical experiences with musicians of all abilities.
